10.5 NBC pseudoscience/FEMA movie tonight

The President, The FEMA director and someone else (must be a pseudo scientist) try to save the west coast of USA after a huge earthquake (2004). I wonder if Mr.bush or Mr.brown ever saw this movie? Anyone watching this yet?

In NBC's high-octane thrill ride "10.5: Apocalypse", the deadly seismic activities that peaked with a 10.5 earthquake and devastated the West Coast in the first miniseries have altered the core structure of the earth and now threaten to jeopardize North America and the Western hemisphere, causing catastrophic events. In a desperate bid to save lives – and the country – President Hollister (Emmy-Award and Golden Globe winner Beau Bridges, "The Ballad of Jack and Rose") calls once again upon one of the nation's top seismologists, controversial scientist Dr. Samantha Hill (Emmy-Award winner Kim Delaney, "NYPD Blue" and "CSI: Miami") and her supervisor and former boyfriend Dr. Jordan Fisher (David Cubitt, "Medium"), to interpret the latest onslaught of quakes. At a loss for how to interpret this continued seismic and now volcanic disruption, Hill re-discovers her seismologist father's (Frank Langella, "Superman Returns") much-discredited hypothesis from years past that if correct, predicts even greater ruin and a complete altering of the North American Continent – a Continental Divide of the land mass.

you knew it was going to be good when it starts out with a guy outrunning a quake on his bicycle ;-)

4. outrunning the space needle that is falling because of the gas bubble

under downtown seattle, pike place market is flooded, and the lesson of the night is never build a train track along a fault line, or make the train go a little bit faster since the fault stopped 5 ft beyond where the train did. An uppity teen going camping with a parent, love interests between the 2 scientists (1 of whom believes the rubber pseudoschience, other doesn't), bickering Er docs, a president who says "we must do everything to help these people (I'll go on vacation, not)" and a FEMA director that does want to alarm people. Movie is back, bye for now.

That was such a cool, believable occurance...
