How many pillows do you keep on your bed?
I have 6 which is an absurd number of pillows considering I'm the only one sleeping on it. I could probably survive only with 2. Although it does give my bed a very comfortable "look" but don't be fooled, my mattress is crap!

1. We have like ten...
Most of them live on the floor while we're sleeping. And we need a new bed too.

5. It's about 20 years old
my uncle gave me his old bed when he got married and I've had it for about 13 years now. Between the crappy mattress at school and the one here at home, I can't remember the last time I woke up in the morning without a sore lower back. My dad told me he would buy me a new one a few years ago but I think this summer I'm going to make him do it!

6. Damn but then again
I have the same blanket I had when I moved out of my crib. I didn't use it all the years in between though. Definely take the old man up on his offer. A new mattress helps with the sleep.

3. Two regular pillows and two tube type neck pillows
Both of us have neck issues and that seems to work nicely for us. When I was single, I slept with about 6. I also slept with five large dogs (well, except for the Beagle - she was small) and we'd all pile up in a heap of blankets and dogs and pillows and me. It was very nice.

14. 3 right now, but at one time I had 5
For my first birthday, I got a buttload of pillows as presents. I have always had a pillow thing. I love them. I can't get enough. I prefer the foam ones though. I wish I could afford a Tempur Pedic one, but alas...

I also sleep alone & have 6 pillows on my bed.

The difference between us is that I can't survive without all of them. :)

that are removed for sleeping. There are 5 of them so my total is 11.

19. Four, all told
Two regular old pillows that mostly just sit there in cases that match the spread, a "contour" pillow that I actually sleep on and a "dog bone" pillow for when my neck's messed up.

I guess you could say five, though, since I'm Lucy's pillow. :loveya:

They are an intricate construction which goes nearly the whole width of a double bed - and yet another reason why I should never try to share my bed with anybody else.

22. The number varies, according to my mood.
I've got two foam pillows (pricey, but well worth it), and two kingsize pillows that fit on the bed better than standard pillows do. It's a queen - go figure.

25. Six.
I actually make a cocoon when I'm sleeping. They all kind of line the wall. Then I curl up into a ball and cover myself with a comforter.* Once I managed to do this so effectively and sleep so effectively that my stepdad actually started to think I may be dead. He was going to wave a beer under the comforter to see if I responded (it was like 6pm and we were having family over for dinner). I woke up though and essentially had beer with breakfast (dinner). I have such whacked out sleep patterns.

*Don't worry, I don't do this if I'm actually sharing a bed.

28. 6-8
Depending on the kids and whether they've hijacked any of them. Never fewer than six, though. I only sleep on three of 'em, though. Unless I fall asleep reading in bed, then one of 'em gets knocked to the floor because I read on my tummy and keep one pillow under me and one under the book (which turns into one under my head...)

29. 4 regular pillows and about 8 throw pillows.
The cats like the throw pillows. So do I, for that matter. Sometimes it's nice to have extra pillows when you're reading in bed, etc.

31. 6 total, 4 of them are mine
I can't sleep w/o a pillow to hug and block the drafts from the side of the bed. When I travel, I don't sleep well unless I can gather enough pillows. As a kid, I used to sleep with 30 to 40 stuffed animals. So I grew up and use pillows. ;-)
