3. Try a little self-monitoring when you are reading threads.

What I mean is, if you start reading a thread that is, in your view, very negative (and believe me, I know they are there), stop reading and go onto something else. That's what I do and it helps a lot. Plus, there is always the Lounge to take a refreshing dive into, to wash some of the depression away.

I love DU, including GD and GD . I get lots of good info there, and while some threads are a drag, others have great info and informed opinion.

My Cubbies won tonight. That's good news.

I'm so caught up at work that I'm gonna start on fall shit tomorrow night, just for something to do.

I went to my kids' middle school band concert tonight. It sounds like it would be scary but this one's not. They've got the most incredible band director -- their jazz bands win every competition they enter and...and....and...

Okay...so maybe I'm a teeeeeeeny bit biased

I have a job that allows me to do things like take off for an hour in the middle of the shift to go see my kids do stuff in the first place...

My cat, who's been in heat for the past week or so, finally seems to have started to cool off a little bit. She didn't sit on my hip and howl last night, anyway, and that's a step in the right direction.

I could prolly come up with more happy crap if you really want...flowers and sunshine and all that stuff...you're not diabetic, are you?
