Poll question: Does the fact that they're releasing "The Omen" remake on 6/6/06
make you more or less likely to see it?

1. I wonder what the writer unemployment rate in Hollywood is...
Because none of them seem to be working.

6. Well, having someone close to me in the business for over 30 years,
I just can't go to the theatres anymore (and most I can get into free). I'm starved for unique ideas in the movies these days. Hell, I've seen the oringinals, and the remakes and sequels just don't hold a candle to anything that's been out there before.

10. "When I am elected to Congress"
Edited on Sun May-07-06 03:15 AM by CPMaz
(not that I'm running, but go with the joke :) )

"I promise a chicken in every pot, an IPod in every ear, and a law requiring that the movie industry charge no more than $3 for admission to any movie that is a sequel, remake, or inspired by a past or present TV show."

Later on that evening....
"...And in related news, tonight, Hollywood police reported unusual disturbances in all of the studios - loud shouts of "Oh shit!" from the executive suites, matched by loud cheers from the writers' cubicles. The investigation is proceeding."

Film at 11."

---- In case you couldn't tell, Hollywood's creative laziness really ticks me off...

5. Fuck the anti-Christ
I can gamble and drink better than him anyway. I can't believe in any deity that can't hold its liquor or out-play the fiddle player in the Charlie Daniels band.

8. My friend designed the title motion graphics for it
so I may have to see it just for that.

11. That is depressing
It might make sense if the film in question were poorly executed with great potential (you know the kind I'm talking about), but why do they feel the need to remake relatively good movies?

12. They should stop remaking movies and start coming up with
original ideas again.
