Annie Lennox remade "Whiter Shade of Pale"...
I am listening to it online right now. There was a thread in here about songs that defined the Viet Nam era for people and I said that one. Then there wsas a thread about songs that make you cry...

sniff, sniff.

1. Wow
I have a few versions of that song...but not the Annie Lennox version. I bet it is very haunting.

2. I remember that one.
Several years ago, she did a cd of cover songs...and "Whiter Shade of Pale" was on it. Nice version.

Ms. Lennox is due for another solo cd, IMO.

7. I thought it was meant to be a ghostly shade...
as though someone were dying. But I am a Gen Xer so perhaps my elder brethren would know better.
