Shitheels on parade
So, today we were at a local indoor flea market. Pretty nice new place, actually. Lots of people there. There was a local motorcycle club that was doing a fundraiser for children burn victims.

So, the store is closing at the end of the day, and these guys have to get their bikes out of the building. They are parked right in front of the auto double doors. It should be no problem for them to simply walk them out the doors-after all, they are inside a building. Instead, they all hop on their Harleys and rev them up as loudly as they can! They really let go with the engines, right in front of hundreds of people enclosed in the building, who by the way for the most part not very happy and didn't consider it entertaining. The proceeded to ride their bikes out the door one at a time, revving the engines as much as they could.

5. They were cleary wrong but they were also... um... BIKERS!
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 10:24 PM by leeroysphits
What did you expect from such outlaw rebels? You are lucky that someone didn't get STABBED or HARASED. Why I've even heard of out of control gangs of outlaw rebel bikers kidnapping WHITE girls or taking over entire rural American towns and nobody but BILY JACK could save them.

On the other hand, if they'd have tried that shit at Sturgis there would have been a HELL of a lot of tickets issued.

6. Yes, that's obnoxious as all fuck
Just ride the goddamn bike, it doesn't have to be a show - if you want it to be about you and nothing but you at all times - start a career in the WWF. Otherwise, fuck off.

7. It was damn loud and my ears were starting to bleed from the noise
Ok, my ears didn't bleed but it was obnoxioulsy LOUD! Plus, the exhaust smell was nasty - and this was right next to the little food court area of the building.

It was a clear attempt at "look at me" and if you don't like what I'm doing, you must hate America!

8. See, the thing is, I'm not anti-bike
Edited on Sun Apr-23-06 01:07 AM by EstimatedProphet
nor am i anti-biker. This wasn't about bikers or their rights. This was about the fact that they (even though they were running a charity drive) didn't have the respect for people to not get in their faces with their bikes. They expect respect themselves, then pull shit like that-it's asinine, passive-agressive without the passive part, and petty.

10. was it a REAL biker club...or some quasi-biker org like H.O.G.?
most real bikers i know wouldn't have done that....i live in daytona beach...we have 2 huge rallies a year....even the outlaw and pagan clubs here are pretty easy going...they don't want the attention. i've always found that it's the weekenders/yuppie/wannabees on $50,000 west coast customs that rev and rev and rev...look at meeeeee..va-rooom va-roooom...i'm a jag-off on a custom harrrrr-leeeeee....thats what it tells me. i used to get great pleasure blowing by them on my $700.00 dollar v45 honda...quietly of course....

11. Good question
They had leather vests with the club name on the back, but all I caught written on them was Northeast Ohio. They did have an overly macho puffed up attitude though, not only from this exit scene I was talking about but from when they were out walking around the building. It was like they were reveling in the "I'm such a badass and so scary" vibe they had.

12. They drink, endanger folks while being on their bikes drunk...
Fight, pillage, okay maybe not pillage, but one day a year, they set all that aside and "give" to a charity....

Kinda like the Christians who behave badly all week and go to church for one hour asking to be absolved of all their sins.....

13. Yup, exactly
And somewhere in the Bible there is a quote about public acts of charity just to be seen as performing charity, being meaningless.

14. doesn't sound like the bikers I know, they are totally cool about
that kind of stuff because they know they get more attention from the authorities. When they find a friendly gig they usually go out of their way not to piss people off.

Don't invite them back. Other bikers will understand.
