18. Yup... :-( It's gotten worse since...
First bashing Dem candidates.

Then Al's past self coming where they both dance to a James Brown song. That started out funny when his past self came in, but wore out its welcome...

Then a "Mom Jeans" skit ( :wtf: )

And now they have a really lame Michael Jackson skit.

37. I think you're stretching the definition of "bashing"...
...regarding the Democratic candidates.
It seemed like just a silly, inoffensive joke to me.

You're right that the Jacko sketch was lame, though.

136. Wonder if any of them were actually watching this tonight
..that skit where all the candidates were hanging out (well, most of em) -

I can see most of em laughing. I'm pretty sure Dean would be laughing, even though he got slammed the most. I was a little let down that they didn't even have an impersonation of Kucinich. They didn't even mention CMB.

It was funny as hell, tho, imho.

116. they were brutal to all of them
the sin was that none of them were funny. Only Kerry and Gephardt were even sort of like the people they were supposed to be. Aside from them calling the rest by their names and the context of the skit I wouldn't have had any idea who the rest were supposed to be. Dean's was simply horrid. Clark's was also very poor. Lieberman was at best mediocre.

Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 07:50 AM by RatTerrier
Very deadpan and dull. Sounded like him.

The Clark one was terrible. Made him sound like a drill sgt.

The skit wasn't all bad, but could have been great. I really wanted to like it, as Gep, Kerry and Lieberman were portrayed well.

I rarely watch SNL anymore. You think NBC could afford to find a few really good writers and performers that are actually funny. I only laughed at a few instances. The LaToya skit was awful, as well as the cab driver one.

Maybe they should start taking drugs like the original 70s cast did.

TWO Jackson skits in one show? Well, the show stinks ... as per usual lately.

The James Brown number at the beginning was the best part of the whole show.

The writers DO need to be fired. I feel like we're back in the "Dick Ebersole Years."

I mean, the whole world is through the looking glass these days, and this is the BEST material they could come up with. Lord.

152. It's not on here yet, but SNL has been bad for a long time
The skits are not funny, and they last 3 times too long..
They have NO ONE who does a good * impression (by design??)
Their skits used to be irreverant, and now they are just lame, and parodying M Jackson, is not funny.. The charges against him are horrible , not worthy of jokemaking..

I think they need a LONG hiatus, until they can find soome new writers and on air talent..
I will watch it, because I do like Al, but I may record it and fast forward through the uncomfortable unfunny stuff :)
