Anniversary day for me-- moved back to Richmond & "greatest date ever"
Edited on Sat Dec-06-03 12:08 PM by underpants
5 years ago told I moved back to Richmond from Baltimore. Bal'mer was okay but I never felt at home there. As luck would have it I happened to move into a part of the city I wasn't familiar with and I happened to move in a block away from my former girlfriend and now wife. I had helped her move in to this apartment (we live here now) and when I went for a run I passed it and wondered if she was still living there, the lawn chair still sitting where it was put on that moving day told me she probably did. My lifelong friend was over in February on a break from the hospital where his first son and my godson was born (his wife needed a break from him and told him to come watch football with me) and I went on a beer run to the local store. From half a block away I could see a redheaded girl standing in the doorway, it was her. We have pretty much been dating since then and became steady what 3 years ago, we married last November.

Okay ladies how about THAT? Wait don't answer yet.

7 years ago I was finally finished getting that damned degree and my girlfriend ( Her, my now wife) said we needed to celebrate. So she took me out to dinner where she lived at the time (different place than now) to a nice family Italian restaurant, she paid. We went back to her place and .....well......we REALLY celebrated.:bounce:

As we were sitting in her living room afterwards I realized that the SEC football championship game was about to come on. I faked intestinal illness and said I had better go home as if I really got sick yes it would be nice for her to take care of me but I wanted to be home. On the 20 minute drive back to my apartment I called the same bestfriend and told him to meet me at my place and I picked up a twelve pack. This has been described by fellow male friends as the "greatest date ever". She knows about this.

Happy Anniversary to ME!!!!!!!!

1. Happy Anniversary from a Richmond born...
who has been thinking maybe you were my cousin but guess not! However, I have many relatives there that I don't know. Love your story, so romantic. I moved to Fla. many years ago and often wonder were I'd be if I had stayed in VA (Glen Allen). Would never have met my hubby which would have been sad. Best wishes to both of you.

3. Does the 7 years story have anything to do with why she became
a "former" girlfriend for a couple of years?

AN how come some guys (namely, not me) can seem to get away with this kind of stuff?
