My left latissmus doris hurts
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 10:32 AM by warrior1
I injured it when I was sitting next to my fireplace looking over papers I wanted to burn up. It aches and the only thing that's worked is Advil. I've tried heat and a tiger balm patches. It's waking me in the middle of the night. Any suggestions?

Picture of where the muscle is.

1. Sound as if you have just strained it
Increasing blood flow is about the only way to help strained muscles. Alternate hot and cold packs. Maybe get a gentle massage. If it persists, see your doctor.

2. It's strained?
How long does it take to heal? I also introduced a exercise into my routine. A bar that I put on my shoulders and I twist at the waist. Should I stop this for now or do it at a slower pace?

3. Yeah, go easy on the exercise
or knock it off entirely until muscle heals. My experience has been a couple of weeks. Then ease into exercise again. Key word, here is ease. Please understand, I'm not a doctor. If you don't notice a lessoning of pain, go see your doctor.
