Official "Just how could Basic Instinct 2 have sucked worse?" thread

I had hoped it would be so bad that it would be as campy/corny/edgy/satirical as the first one.

But it was just bad. Way bad.

(And I paid 11 bucks to see it at the Arclight, for a matinee(!), to boot.)

They say a sucker is born every minute...this one was born at 4:16am almost 33 yrs ago...

Anybody else have the (dis)pleasure of seeing this shite?

Especially the "unrated" trailer.

But you're on the right track, even after seeing the trailer I still wanted to see it.

I'm a sucker for the campy movies, Esterhaus(sp?) is a hoot (even though I knew he had nothing to do with this one) and I still wanted to see it. I got what I deserved, methinks.

9. I thought the trailer was hilarious

It reminded me of the episode on the Simpson's in which Chief Wiggums is interrogating Grounds keeper Willie. Willie, seen from behind, is seated and wearing a kilt. He uncrosses and re-crosses his legs, leading Wiggums to threaten to shoot him should he do that again!

If so, I understand Sharon Stone gets to munch on the lips of another actress in BI2. She's been known to do that from time to time.

Plot twist: Her lesbian lover could turn out to be a MAN, baby! Cue music from The Crying Game at this point...
