WASHINGTON - A fossil of a small sea creature found in a 425 million-year-old rock formation is the oldest unequivocally male fossil known, experts say.
The animal was buried under volcanic ash in Great Britain that mineralized and retained an image of its soft body parts.

Details revealed include gills, eyes, limbs designed for swimming and the oldest known male organ. This last detail led researchers to name the species Colymbosathon ecplecticos, Greek for "amazing swimmer with large penis."

I usually turn on the radio to fall asleep to, (our local NPR station carries the Beeb overnight)...They led into it by saying "The world's oldest male organ has been found" then proceeded with the story, but a combination of tiredness and immaturity had already taken it's toll. I lay there snickering like Beavis and Butthead for about 20 minutes. :D
