Bart Simpson is a Scientologist
Just thought with all the talk lately of Hubbard's creation that it would be fun to let everyone know that Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart Simpson, is a proud scientologist.

So ya probably won't be seeing the Simpsons wading into this one.

:-)

1. Yep.
And I guess it's just as well that Scientology wasn't around during the 70's...because 2 of the cast members of "That 70's Show" are Scientologists.

5. Wasn't around in the 70's? It's been around since the 50's.

The 70's is when Hubbard had his huge facility in England (St. Hill or some such).

It just didn't get as much publicity.

2. Huh? The Simpsons makes fun of Scientology all the time.
Of course, they have yet to do an entire episode on it like South Park has.

3. Well, The Movementarians one came close
But as for really trashing things that are 100% correlated to Scientology I am drawing a blank.

Of course there are a hell of a lot of episodes and I saw more than a few of them in my own preferred altered state so my memories may be a little clouded. :-)

4. I knew that
:P

The closest the Simpsons ever came was the episode about the Movementarians.

The Leader is good, the Leader is great, I surrender my will as of this date.

or, if you're Homer and quite get that one down . . .

Na na na na na na na na Leader!
