We just saw "The Hills Have Eyes"...
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 07:44 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
Holy crap, that was creepy. :scared: Anyone else see that? I already can't go to Nebraska (Cornfields) or the woods. :wtf: Dammit, now I can't go to the desert either.

1. I'm not into horror/terror movies, personally.
Just looking at the picture in the newspaper ads, of the woman's face being pressed sideways into the dirt by a yucky-looking hand creeped me out.

Yuck, no thank you.

2. I'm not into them much either...
but my brother-in-law and his girlfriend love them, so we went with them. It freaked me out. I have issues with watching people die violently, even fakely, because I'm terrified that's how I'm going to die.

9. Yeah, I just don't "get" the point of assaulting one's consciousness
with those types of gruesomely violent images. That shit is bad ju ju, imo.

 I'm sorry you got freaked. I rest my case.

10. I usually stay away from them.
I do like mystery and suspense thrillers, but mostly the ones that leave something to the imagination or intrigue. I was just kinda nauseous after this movie. I've no doubt that if you like horror movies you'll like it. If you're the kind of person who prefers something left to the imagination, don't see it.

3. ya know, I'm gonna treat myself tonight
and go see that. The original was pretty creepy, but a little too over-the-top, jump-out-and-gp-boo to really deliver a great case of the willies.

(It's been a long time since I saw it, but that's my recollection.)

If the new one is creepy, I'll give it a whirl. I love the genre and had to miss the ones that came out earlier this year. But I had a good gig last night and I can squeeze ten bucks out of the budget somehow . . .

....if that kind of thing bothers you.

7. He loved it.
Althought he slept thru like ten minutes of it. We decided to have drinks before. It was a mistake. I had to go pee like five times during the movie, so I missed a bunch.

16. Gore...
In the end it was a little suspenseful, but it's mostly gory.

19. No fucking way, dude.
I would not sleep... even the ads spook me. But, I don't do horror movies.. I know myself well enough not to put myself (or whomever I'm with) through that.
