I finally have some happy news to post. Just saw the preview and read a synopsis of a new movie coming out this summer. It is "Prairie Home Companion", directed by Robert Altman, written by Garison Keillor, starring, among others, Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin (a country-singing sister act), Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Maya Rudolph, Lindsay Lohan and Virginia Madsen. Shot mostly at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul (where else). Recall that scene at the end of Postcards From the Edge where Meryl breaks loose with some boot stompin country music? Bet that's what got her this role.
