Waiting for my babysitter then going to 4th interview.
I'm meeting the COO at 4 PM. Then I'm stopping by the neighborhood banch to pick up paperwork fo a background check. Then I should find out if I get the job by NEXT WEEK!

I'm no nervous, my eyes are watering.

If you ae not completely work out, please wish me luck.

:hi:

15. Either way - you'll still do great
I think a touch of nervousness is always good for an interview! Maybe that busstop sign was a sign of good things to come

19. You should come up to visit when Joan and MissHoneyChurch
are in town. I was thinking of doing a meetup at the coast somewhere or worse case - in Baltimore so some folks down south can come visit. Just how lost are you in Virigina?

I actually grew up RIGHT over the Delaware Memorial Bridge -- not too far from Pennsville and Salem!

22. Is Cowtown still there???
It was always a little scuzzy, but we LOVED going there! We always got homemade root beer, and got ice cream at Richman's afterward.

25. Good luck, hope you hear good news next week!
Especially after FOUR interviews.

I didn't have the chance to thank you for your advice for my free Sunday in Manhatten recently.

What I ended up doing was walking from my hotel at 37th & Lex all the way up to the NY Historical Society at 77th/Central Park West. I was in the mood to walk, but that was ridiculous. It was raining, but not cold, but it's a long walk and I was soaked and tired and didn't feel like looking at the pictures until a tiny little docent came into the main gallery and announced that a gospel choir was starting a free performance in the auditorium downstairs. Just the ticket to sit and rest and dry off and hear some wonderful music. Turned out the be the "Addicts Recovery Choir" (who were featured last week on NPR's "Fresh Air") - very uplifting and energizing. After that, enjoyed the paintings and spent some time with some of the other interesting exhibits as well. All for $10.

Sadly, all the restaurant suggestions people gave me near my hotel were closed Sunday night, and I ended up having a forgettable dinner across the street from the hotel. It was redeemed, however, by eaves-dropping on the bizarre family next to me (hippie mom, hippie boyfriend, yuppie daughter) -- the boyfriend explained to the daughter that he had played with Hall & Oates in the early 80s and now could be found "gigging most weekends in the tri-state area". That phrase was worth the over-cooked dinner!

I printed out your advice about the teahouse and DIA gallery in a file folder for a future trip (two are already on the books for March/April) -- these little adventures are so much more rewarding than hanging in the hotel room watching cable!
