Clooney Wins Supporting Actor Oscar

LOS ANGELES -- George Clooney was wrong. Despite claiming earlier that he wouldn't win, Clooney took home the best supporting actor award Sunday for his performance as a veteran CIA operative in "Syriana."

It was his first Academy Award.

The 44-year-old Clooney bested a strong field of Paul Giamatti ("Cinderella Man"), Jake Gyllenhaal ("Brokeback Mountain"), Matt Dillon ("Crash") and William Hurt ("A History of Violence").

Clooney was also up for best director for the Edward R. Murrow story "Good Night, and Good Luck." His third Academy award nomination was for co-writing the "Good Night" script.

And he even got the first one!

I still haven't seen Good Night and Good Luck or Syriana yet..........I'm waiting for the videos. But I can't wait to see them!!
