10. you can only buy food with food stamps
you can't buy pet food, personal hygiene products (shampoo, toothpaste, etc), or paper products (toliet paper, paper towels). Not even tin foil or stuff like that.

16. used to be if you spent 9.05 and gave a ten in food stamps
they would give you 95 cents change - actual cash money. You only need to do that- what? about 60,000 times to accumulate enough money to buy a Lexus. I am not sure if they do that any more if they are using debit cards now.

26. I've got a Mississippi one. It's a dud, now.
Got it after Katrina, to replace everything I lost in my fridge, as did most every Mississippian in the wake of Katrina.

I spent it on shrimp, ribeyes, cornish hens, and a gallon tin of EVOO.

;-)

Actually, I used it to replace all of the meat (hamburger, chicken, pork chops) and veggies, and condiments that were in my freezer and fridge, that ruined b/c of Katrina. One thing I did not pennypinch on was Hellman's Mayo.

:hi:
