Hey, guys. I found the top of a fire hydrant outside. What should I do?

1. Well, return it so we can spend the money on bombs..

2. call the city offices on Monday and ask them what you should

do with it.

Either that or make it into a cool house decoration.

3. It's not the top..

It's hard to tell the size from the photo, but it's either the Steamer cap or
the side (2 1/2") cap from a hydrant. The caps that protect the threads.

The scary part of the picture is the Duct tape on the inside of the cap.
Hope it's there just for fun and not to try to stop a leak.

I would either take it to you water company, town hall or even your
local fire department.

If you didn't return it no great loss, the company that services the hydrant
should just replace the cap.
