My dog just ate lighter fluid. Help
Anyone know if the fluid inside of disposable lighters is poisonous to dog?

My son just caught him chewing on a half full lighter . This isnt like him. Hes not one to chew normally..

3. You need to get him to a vet. They will pour that charcoal fluid down

4. I don't think it's terribly toxic...
My pom does that sort of thing from time to time and I assume it tastes so bad that they back away once they actually break the seals.

It's probably ok, but check anyway.//. there's not much in those lighters and under pressure, it often evaporates when punctured

19. OK Im back. Cody is fine
Took him to the vet. Vet wasnt in but the techs looked him over and told me he will be fine. It was butane and a miniscule amount , which isnt dangerous. She didnt even charge me.

Whew. Thats was scary.

Thanks to all who posted. DU and its people are the greatest.
