Bourbocam is stationed outside The Cat's Meow on Bourbon Street. Bead Cam is on a balcony, but I'm not sure which--but it's on Bourbon Street, too.

When you get on the page, click on live feed. Then, below the picture, click here to change your video player. Then chose REal Player, and you can listen better.

Windows Media has better images, but sucky sound.

Real Player has not so great images, but great sound.

27. Technical stuff for better viewing.

First, go to Bourbocam. Click on Live Feed. Then click on Click Here to change your player. Select Real Player.

Then go to your programs on your PC, and open up REal Player. Bam, you've got GREAT AUDIO.

Then, go back to the Bourbo cam page, and Click Here to change your player, and select Windows MEdia. Bam, you've got good video.

Keep both open at the same time, and you'll have good video on WMP, and good Audio on RP. Watch the Bourbocam page on the net and listen to Real Player, but keep it minimized.

28. So much fun!!

But much wilder in person being swept along in a sea of crazy humanity.

I was down in New Orleans Wednesday through Sunday (couldn't stay through Fat Tuesday :( ) ... and I'll say Bourbon Street Friday night and, oh, seven hours into Saturday morning created some memories I'll never forget: sipping beers in Johnny White's, a bar that never closed post-Katrina and where a young hipster looking exactly like Hunter S. Thompson was chilling out; listening to Ragtime jazz at Fritzel's; tromping through the rising tide of beads laying in the street; and just seeing that city enjoy itself again.... altogether wonderful, and that's just the stuff I can relate in public. Le Bon Temps Roule! And bless you New Orleans and your large heart.

Oh, and on that night, the blinking skull necklace thingies I got from, if I recall correctly, the Krewe d'Etat parade were beloved much more than the beads I had round my neck ;)
