Would you ever NOT buy a house because of cats?
So we went to look at houses just for kicks.

We pulled up to this one place and the first thing I noticed was the three cats in the front yard. Then I noticed two cats next door with a total cat lady standing in the window of the neighboring house watching them. I saw a sixth cat run into the storm drain.

6 cats in under 5 minutes.

The house itself was really cute, but holy cow, the front lawn of the house for sale was COVERED in bird feathers.

Is that a deal breaker?

1. You are evil, and you must be destroyed.
(that's a movie quote but oh, so appropriate)

I would not only buy the place, I'd put traps everywhere within a week of moving in and spay & neuter any cat without a collar or microchip. Then i'd . . .

Oh, yeah. This all goes without saying. See username. :slinking off: :yoiks:

2. Hey Bertha!
Some of my collegues did that... they found a stray dog and had it neutered, and the next day the owner turned up! :hi:

3. I wouldnt buy the first house I looked at because of MY cat....
It was a little cheaper, a lot bigger, and newer than the house I eventually did buy, but whoever designed it must have had a leprechaun or something - there were all of these little nooks and crannies where 5.5 pounds of Fraidy-cat could hide and get stuck. I'd be forever pulling off drywall or pulling up floors or something to get her out of someplace she'd trapped herself.

We have several ferals in the neighborhood, but all have been trapped, "broken" and tagged. The birds are smarter than the cats around here.
