sigh . . . husband lost his job last Wednesday . .
we are a little down, but not out.

He worked for one company for 25 years and a "friend" talked him into leaving and moving. That "friend" left the new company after two years, my husband got laid off after another two years, company was sold 10 months later and more people lost their jobs.

He took this job a little over a year ago - managed IT dept. He made good money, but boss was a micro manager and let him go. Couldn't make deadlines - his programmers were working 70 hours a week and were getting stressed so my husband told them not to work more than 50 hours a week to allow additional hours for "crisis" work - his boss didn't like that the deadlines could not be met so. . .

2. I'm sending you some good vibes.
That is so crappy when they let you go during the holidays. When I was working at the University of Illinois in 1992, they eliminated my position (and hundreds of others on campus) two weeks before Christmas.

I hope your husband finds something soon. Here are my best hopes and wishes.
