The Queen Mary 2 that is. She's docked at LA harbor and sails out Saturday. I won't have the chance to see the old ..... well NEW gal!

1. Cool.
I had heard they were bringing back a QMII.

Very nice.

4. Of course
She still graces Long Beach as regal as ever. I love the Queen Mary.

5. We drove down there to see it earlier
Massive yes, but actually unimpressive otherwise. Then again, it was just our drive-by impression. :hi:

6. There was an article in the LA Times about it.
The traffic on the Vincent Thomas has been pretty heavy.

I didn't realize that the operators of the old Queen Mary are in a financial mess again. I'd really hate to see the Queen Mary suffer because of this. It's become a landmark for Long Beach, but never really a cash cow.

7. That's a damn shame
That is a classy, beautiful ship.
