I had a great dinner last night!

The brother of a work friend opened a seafood/steak restaurant and had a special wine tasting dinner last night. We started with Ahi tuna served Japanese style w/ a Rielsing, the had a shrimp Cesaer salad w/ chardonney, followed by Coquille St Jacques with a Pinot Grigio. As the main course they served a Filet Mignon topped with crab meat and a Cabernet Sauvigaun. (I was a little bummed since UI don't eat red meat but the crab was quite good) Desert was a incredibly Choc Rasp cake with a bubbly sweet raspberry wine. This was to die for!! I went with two girlfriends and we had a great time and acutally learned about the wine and food combos. The wine taster guy walked around and answered questions. It was really fun although I was not quite feeling great and am home sick with a bad cold today.

Good food, good wine ... not much in this world is better than that.
