So, I'm talking to my little sister and she points out to me that it is her and her boyfriends 4 year anniversary on Thursday. I gave her some half-hearted congrats (I don't really like this guy. At all. He's a criminal and a jerk. He treats her like crap and gets her involved in all sorts of low life shit) and suddenly, she says "Oh, and C got arrested on Monday."

Ok, yeah, no big surprise. I ask her why, and she says "I don't know". I give her that "I'm your sister and I know you're full of bullshit" look, and she spills.

Not only did he get pulled over with three pounds of weed in his car, but one of the other dudes in the car had like a pound of coke with him, so the genius apparently hid it, uhm, in his person. And then removed it IN A COP CAR and tried to hide it. And he was driving without a license.

*sigh* Sisters. Whatcha gonna do.

think for five minutes. Though I've done it before and it came to nothing.
But I pointed out to her that she is an adult now, and can get a criminal record. If she'd been in that car she coulda been charged. And she'd have a hard time travelling, getting jobs, etc, for the REST of her life. ForEVER.

It was such a relief when she started dating a nice guy. They've been together for a few years now and I find myself hoping that after they finish school they make it official.

Even though you can't make your sister stop seeing this jerk, you can still just tell her how it is. My daughter was involved with a guy a few years ago who I just knew was an abuser. He was showing early signs, like trying to isolate my daughter from Mr. SG and me, and other things. So I sat her down and talked to her, told her straight out what I saw, and what I thought would happen. I couldn't make her stop seeing him unless I locked her in the house, but it wasn't too long after I talked to her that she started seeing the same things I did, and she broke it off. Hopefully your sister will open her eyes before it's too late, and dump this guy.

first of all, if you're going to traffic that large amount of drugs, the first things you do are

1) make sure your license isn't about to expire
2) make sure your registration isn't about to do the same
3) make sure your insurance is all paid up
4) make sure there's no damage to your car that could be cause of concern
5) replace both headlights work, and if needed, all tail lights
6) do not drink
7) ensure that you have a fully functional spare wheel with inflated and ready-to-go tire
8) if possible, travel with a friend
9) if even more possible, travel with a friend who knows NOTHING about your cargo
10) use cash at all gas stations and tolls, debit/credit cards are trackable
