I've been vacationing for a couple of weeks, but wanted to see them with my own eyes.

Thanks for your response, if any!

2. KittyKat, thanks for this interesting link. I've been away from the DU
and was curious about the uproar.

Some of this reminds me of our visit to Egypt in the 1980s. Many of pictures show the Pharoahs with their faces blasted away. Our guide said that the Christian crusaders did the defacing.

She also insisted that Egyptian workers built the Pyramids during the season when the fields were dormant and awaiting the flooding of the Nile River (which used to happen but was eliminated by the building of the Aswan Dam). Thus went most of my learning about my Jewish heritage, which insists that the Jews were the slaves of the Egyptians and did the work.

Who knows? I wasn't there. You weren't there. The written records of these times were massaged by writer after writer. The truth is truly lost in antiquity, in my humble opinion.

In peace,

Radio_Lady
