Another Coen Brothers film quote fest! This time - Miller's Crossing
Edited on Mon Dec-01-03 12:56 PM by bpcmxr
Following up on our little celebration a couple of days ago of 'The Big Lebowski', how many here are fans of 'Miller's Crossing'? It's another of my favorite Coen Bros films and a treasure-trove of quotable quotes in its own right, IMO.

For starters, how about Johnny Caspar's (Jon Polito) parting sentiment to Leo (Albert Finney) and Tom (Gabriel Byrne) at the end of the opening scene:

"Yu'z fancy pants - alla' yu'z."

Next?

4. Raising Arizona
"Alright, you hayseeds! It's a stickup! Everybody freeze. Everybody down on the ground!"

"Well, which is it young feller? You want I should freeze, or get down on the ground? I mean to say, if'n I freeze, I can't rightly drop, and if'n I drop, I'ma gonna be in motion..."

5. These other films -
'The Hudsucker Proxy' and 'Raising Arizona' are fantastic too, of course, and could fill threads of their own with quotable quotes. For this one though, let's see how well y'all know 'Miller's Crossing'.
