1. Well, the EXIF info for the full-sized jpg backs up the claim of not
being edited, etc., but that info can be modified by anyone that has a knowledge of image editing and such.

It does say that he used a 2 second exposure, which could potentially give some very weird effects considering the lighting.

2. Simple double-exposure

A fun trick with a non-digital camera. I used to do these with my old polaroid back during the Pleistocene before they invented Mavicas.

It's a very pretty photo, btw.

5. Well, I don't entirely disbelieve in "spirits" and whatnot, BUT
I do entirely disbelieve the unproven integrity of random strangers on the internets.

4. This is my theory, and as it's my theory, it's the final word
It's a long exposure with a small aperture with a flash taken right as someone ran into the frame so the camera would only catch the person with the sled for a moment and it would be dark and mostly transparent.

Then the EXIF data was modified with a simple text editor.
