I heard from a friend who lost all in Katrina.

Some time ago I asked if anyone knew how I could track down an online friend from Mississippi who had lost everything in Katrina. Many people offered suggestions, but none of them worked for me.

So I just kept sending out an email every few days, since AOL deletes emails automatically, and I knew she wasn't likely to have access to a coputer for a while.

Well, I finally heard back from her today. She is staying with a friend in South Carolina. She and her husband lost their home, their cat--everything except their 2 ferrets and the clothes on their backs.

She is in her fifties and had a heart attack last year. She also has high blood pressure. I was worried that she might have another heart attack or a stroke from the stress.

I have actually never met her in person, but we have corresponded regularly online for nearly five years, ever since she emailed me in resposne to an article on one of my websites. (I get a lot of my online friends that way.)

Now I want to figure out a way to help her. Any suggestions?
