He gets more annoying every figure skating season.

2. But....but....
It's not THE OLYMPICS Without him. I feel about him as I felt about Jim Mckay. :hi:

it wouldn't be the same without him. He's the only one left who remembers FIGURE skating.

3. Be careful. There are some folks around here who REALLY LIKE
Dick Button (as I found out when I saidn something negative about him a while back).

I simply will not watch figure skating, no matter how much Mrs R asks me to, if he's on the air.

8. No matter. I still like you. As long as you don't ask me to listen to him,
we'll get along just fine.

7. He's a bit of a cranky pants, but
his analysis is usually very accurate. If I were a skater, I would record his comments about me and take very serious note of them.

16. Dick Buttons always jinxes
the American skaters. If he says that Skater A has NEVER EVER fallen on a triple lutz double-handed back spin w/a 1/2 & 1/2 decaf, he or she WILL fall flat on the butt attempting such a move, at which point, Buttons will say "That shows you this skater wasn't training seriously enough for this event & doesn't deserve a medal." :grr:

18. heck, Dick Button isn't bad
John Madden on the other hand...

I can't STAND him. He says the most incredibly IDIOTIC things. EVERY GAME.

And NO, it isn't endearing, funny, or "cool". It's just stupid.
