What a sound. Conjures up FDR, the Great Crusade and a time we could still believe in something. I know we had our problems, but, it seems so simple to solve, it seems like we had the will to do wonderful things. You want to daydream a little about what might have been and what was a very nice time to dream, then get an Ink Spot song on your turntable.

As a lover of doo-wop music, I look at the Ink Spots as one of the main groups who influenced the R&B vocal groups of the late 1940s and early 1950s. The Mills Brothers would qualify in that regard, as well.

I love those guys. Really beautiful. Their version of Paper Moon with Ella is one of my all time favorites.
