A portrait of Sugar Smack

Sugar Smack proved extremely difficult to draw. It took many aborted attempts before I was satisfied with my effort. It was a very appealing challenge though, because Sugar Smack is breathtakingly beautiful. In particular there was no way I was ever going to capture how sexy her eyes are.

This effort was done solely in pencil, no pen this time. By fiddling with the scanner controls I was able to make a satisfactory scan. It does show up the imperfections quite mercilessly though - post-it notes are not made of high grade paper! My next try will be done on proper paper.



Next up - yvr girl! Yivver, please forgive the wait. I will try to make it worth it.

MY inclination is to descent here instead and without per se prejudice; but the piece, as portraiture, only passes for semblance in the very most cursory ways; if it is that with portraiture one, as a mere for instance, concentrates on those elements that will more immediately convey the essence of the subject, then those lips are not Mine Czarina's.

i.e. our gov jerry brown, way back when...

do me, mr. skank, my advise is to trace the essentials, from a light-table perhaps, or a living room window will suffice; but then onto paper 1st as there is much practice to be performed in your line, hatch-work, and blending departments so as to suggest. and do it nice; don't do it while angry, that's a whole separate genre of art as we may well know
