The DU Freeper-English dictionary!
Before this gets lost in the thread I posted it in, I think we should put together a freeper-english dictionary, perhaps to be attached to the Demopedia. There's just too many Freeperish words out there to keep them all straight, and a handy updatable reference guide, which can be added to as Freeperish evolves (even though they never do) would be handy to determine what exactly they mean when they post gibberish.

So, what Freeperish words do you know? I'll start compiling them, and we'll try to define exactly what tortured concepts they are getting at with their ravings.

:wow:

I didn't realize anyone could really be that stupid. Not only did he misspell "spokesman" once, but twice, as "spocksman"...and, and, and it should have been "spokesperson"...and, and, and he abbreviated Venezuela because he knew he couldn't spell it. I suppose I should have some "sempithy" for him, but really...sweet Jesus! Is this why America is going down the toilet????

Oh. My. Fucking. God. :wow:

But, having taught college English for a number of years, I can assure you that the OP is a non-native English speaker, probably Asian, and he/she/it just didn't grasp that he/she/it was being attacked (rather viciously, I might add).

18. PEICE (n.) - meaning unclear.
Could be "piece" or "peace." Lingiusts at the ZombieNixon Institute of Linguistic Study agree, however, that the former meaning is far likelier, given Freeper culture's predispoisition toward unnecessary war. pl. peices.

facts = whatever I say
peace = war
winning a war = losing a war
things under control = nothing under control
good economy = tanking economy with debt owned by China and millions unemployed
patriot = someone who will destroy the Constitution to keep someone else from destroying it

family values = white racist misogyny, based on a fictional and specious reading of the words of Jesus Christ, especially misinterpretating those parts of the Bible that he doesn't appear in

common sense meaning = I don't feel like looking up a fact or a theory, or footnoting or referencing something that I'm saying that someone else said, because I know it's a lie and that that reference doesn't exist but I sure as hell ain't gonna admit to that because I'm a racist, hatefilled asswipe.

24. Here's a very rough draft
Feel free to comment at will. I also intend to put in an introductory paragraph about the differences in Freeperish from English.

BRIAN (n.) - pl. brains: Brain. As in "Freepers have brian damage."

CAZY (adj.) - usg. "hugh cazy moran with no morels": Crazy. Apparently a simple typo. Either that, or they are cazy.

DICK TATER (n.) – pl. dick taters: Dictator. Named for one Dick Tater, a poster at Free Republic who liked to order people around.

FLORDIA (n.): Florida. The Freepers favorite state, next to Teaxs. The state that Gawd used to bring Dubya the Bush to power in 2000.

HUGH (adj.) - usg. "hugh moran": Huge, giant, really damn big. This comes from a poster at Free Republic with a small penis, who went by the name Hugh.

LIBRAL (n., adj.) - usg. often as LIBREL. pl. librals/librels, abbr. lib, libs: Liberal. This is the ultimate curse in the Freeper vocabulary. Freepers see liberals as monsters who are put on earth to unfairly make them tolerant of anyone with an IQ over 50.

MORAN (n.) - pl. morans: Moron. This is the great-grandaddy of all Freeper terminology. Invented by a moran.

MOREL (n.) - pl. morels: Moral. Freepers regard morals with the same kind of disgust as they do mold, which is why they confuse them with mushrooms that grow on tree roots.

PEICE (n.) – pl. peices: Piece. Freepers commonly talk about giving librals a peice of their brian. Liberals commonly talk about not needing fertilizer. May also mean peace, but this is unlikely-Freepers just don't use that kind of language.

SERIES (adj.) – Serious. Freepers are absolutely no-nonsense about baseball.

SIMPETHY (n.) - pl. simpethies, simpethys: Sympathy. Although this is archaic in Freeper as literary type usages have been phased out of the language. Actually a shortening of the common Freeper ideals of being simpering and pathetic.

SPOCKSMEN (n.) – pl. spocksmens: Spokesman. Apparently a particular type of spokesman, specifically one from Vulcan or one specializing in child behavior.

26. Freeperish and English
On the surface, Freeperish seems to be a derivative dialect of English. However, the grammar (grammer) and syntax (no attested Freeperish equivalent) often render Freeperish unintelligible to mainstream English speakers. Many have hypothesized that Freeperish is, in fact a language of it own. In this case, its genetic classification would place it as a member of the West Germanic group of the Germanic subfamily of the Indo-European family of terrestrial languages, placing it alongside such languages as Frisian and Dutch, with a more distant relationship with such wideranging tongues as Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Greek and many others. Recently, however, linguists and philologists have discovered a critical flaw in this argument: it rests upon the assumption that Freeperish is in fact a language at all. In much of Europe, languages are regulated by a national academy of some sort. However, since Freepers neither constitute a nation, nor do Freepers typically embrace such institutions as National Academies of Regulation, there can be no definitive answer on this topic at this time.

Here's where I left off last night:

An Introduction to Freeperish: The Freeper – English Dictionary

JESTER (n.) - pl. jesters: Gesture. Called so because Freeper symbolic acts are laughable.

LIABLITY (n.) – pl. liablites: Liability. Free Republic is a liablity.

SPOCKSMEN (n.) – pl. spocksmens: Spokesman. Apparently a particular type of spokesman, specifically one from Vulcan or one specializing in child behavior.

STICKILY (adv.): Strictly. Freepers are very tacky in their language, and words flow like molasses from their keyboards. Their set their statements like glue.

STOCK (v.): Stalk. Likely originated from the fact that Freepers like to annoy in large groups, and therefore keep a "stock" of disruptors handy.

42. How do you create a Demopedia page?
In the instructions, it says to type the URL of the page you want to create in your browser and the software automatically creates the page for you, but I did this and got a "page not found" error. Any ideas?

DORKSIDED (adj.): Dark-sided, evil, corrupt. Pronounced this way because Freepers are dorks.

LOOSER (n.) pl. loosers: Loser. Freepers are too tightly wound.

SLYKICKS (n.) pl. slykickses: Psychics. Psychics can see the future (i.e. they pay attention to what is going on) and therefore Freepers feel that they are sly and kick people when their heads are turned.

An Introduction to Freeperish: The Freeper – English Dictionary

On the surface, Freeperish seems to be a derivative dialect of English. However, the grammar (grammer) and syntax (no attested Freeperish equivalent) often render Freeperish unintelligible to mainstream English speakers. Many have hypothesized that Freeperish is, in fact a language of it own. In this case, its genetic classification would place it as a member of the West Germanic group of the Germanic subfamily of the Indo-European family of terrestrial languages, placing it alongside such languages as Frisian and Dutch, with a more distant relationship with such wide-ranging tongues as Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Greek and many others.

ATHIEST (n.) pl. atheists: Anyone not a dominionist fundamentalist. Freepers believe they are satin worshippers.

BRIAN (n.) - pl. brains: Brain. As in "Freepers have brian damage."

CAZY (adj.) - usg. "hugh cazy moran with no morels": Crazy. Apparently a simple typo. Either that, or they are cazy.

CLINTOON (n.): The Clintons. The essence of all that is evil in the Freeper mind. They believe his penis has caused more irreversible harm to the American way of life than all wars combined. Sometimes referred to as 'The Clenis', but this has been found to be a DUer imitating a Freeper -with well earned derision.

COMMY (n.) pl. commys: Communist. Anyone to the left of Curtis LeMay.

DICK TATER (n.) – pl. dick taters: Dictator. Named for one Dick Tater, a poster at Free Republic who liked to order people around.

DORKSIDED (adj.): Dark-sided, evil, corrupt. Pronounced this way because Freepers are dorks.

DUMMIES (n.) pl. DUmmieses: Posters on DU. DUmmies make arguments that are over Freepers' logic and reasoning capabilities.

JESTER (n.) - pl. jesters: Gesture. Called so because Freeper symbolic acts are laughable.

KKKLINTOON (n.): Alternate spelling of Clintoon.

LIABLITY (n.) – pl. liablites: Liability. Free Republic is a liablity.

LOOSER (n.) pl. loosers: Loser. Freepers are too tightly wound.

PORTA-JOHN (n.) pl. potties: Portable bathrooms. More important at Freeper events than actual Freepers, they act as placeholders for Freepers not present. Each Freeper apparently requires at least 20.

SATIN (n.): Satan, Beelzebub, Mr. Scratch, Old Nick, etc. Often steal souls at night disguised as a bedsheet.

SERIES (adj.): Serious.

SLYKICKS (n.) pl. slykickses: Psychics. Psychics can see the future (i.e. they pay attention to what is going on) and therefore Freepers feel that they are sly and kick people when their heads are turned.

76. It may be best to put it up on a Demopedia page.
What we have is an excellent starting point, and doubtless, the Freepers will provide more entries in the near future, so we can put them up as they occur...
