Actor Chris Penn Dead in Santa Monica

Actor and brother of Sean Penn, Christopher Penn, 40, was discovered dead in his apartment unit on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, CA, tonight. Coroner identified Penn and cause of death is still unde investigation.

4. Unfortunate indeed

It was well known by those who have worked with him that he was an alcoholic and drug user. I witnessed him so intoxicated on set he could not speak his lines.

I felt sad for the guy.
