My mouse(computer) died today, so I got a new one.
I got a optical mouse, just love it. It has side buttons, two scroll wheels and is programmable, cost a cool $12. On the box it says is 800 DPI, what does this mean?

The mouse is ergonomic, fits my hand just right.

1. DPI refers to dots per inch I think, referring to the precision of the
mouse movement.

If it's cheap, feels good to your hand, and works fine for you, it doesn't matter what the DPI is.

It does make a bit of a difference if you are doing fine drawing/CAD with it, or trying to win tens of thousands of dollars in a Quake or CounterStrike or StarCraft tournament.

wireless, I really didn't need all the extra buttons but I didn't want to go to another store.

I did learn something, if your computer is acting weird, it might be the mouse.
