I'm making lasagne while drunk, and it's all Helen Forradalom's fault!
She started this HERE:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x4603980

So now, here I am, drunk off my ass in the middle of the night,
and I am absolutely CRAVING lasagne!

The hamburger is almost thawed, the oven is preheating,
and the 99-cent can of Ragu sauce is in the on-deck circle!

I'm just kinda upset that I suddenly got a craving
for such a labor-intensive dish!

You know I am "Batchin it" this week...
and I was perfectly content to sit here eating 88-cent microwave pasta,
and refried beans straight from the can...
("LA SIERRA" brand RULES!)

But now I just GOTTA have some lasagne!
So I have COOK the meat, Boil the pasta, assemble it all in the Pyrex™...
and then I have to WAIT another whole hour while it bakes,
and the smell is driving me crazy!

4. I sort of lucked out when I looked in my pantry...
I found a couple of cans of Campbells Chunky Chili with Beans. That's primo stuff when you've been batching a number of years.

6. Oooh, that's good stuff!
You ever smoosh a half-bag of doritos into crumbs,
and then mix it with the chili and nuke it?

2. A tasty little hint:
If you have some pepperoni, put a few slices on the top.

You'll never go back. :9

5. You are REALLY not making this easier for me!
If I had any pepperoni, I would be eating it cold on the sofa already!

Pepperoni never crossed my mind until you mentioned it;
but NOW...
I am wondering if I could manage to dress myself
and stumble the 3 blocks to the BP-store,
to pay 18 dollars for 3 slices of pepperoni
that were bubble-wrapped during the Carter administration....

Great. Now I am craving PEPPERONI.

Thanks a PANTLOAD, Chet!
