3. I hate that!
I'm three hours behind you, but feel your frustration, and I sometimes have insomnia. I've found that the best thing to to is just get up, read, watching something on TV, visit DU, anything besides laying in bed feeling frustrated that I can't sleep. It usually works, and after half an hour to an hour, I'm finally able to go to sleep. Hope you can too, bertha.

8. i have been reading for three hours.
Scott Turow is riveting. But right now, after missing work all last week with a stupid sinus/ear infection, I would rather sleep.

thanks for the ideas. maybe some tv. :hi:

16. Hi Seattle Girl, thanks for your kind words on New Year's Eve.

We're just making the segue from Mountain Time (Salt Lake City) to Pacific Time (Portland) and we're both a bit buzzy headed from flying home after our vacation.

My husband is the insomniac, and now that he's got his (FREE) four tablets of Lunesta sleep medicine, he F*in' won't even try them! So it's 12 midnight, local time, and I have no idea how long he'll be sitting here next to me and looking at his email.

I better get to bed, 'though. I have to go to the post office tomorrow and pick up the mail around 7:30 AM. It's my job...

Good night and good luck!

Sweet dreams! (Mine were erotic last night, but that's another story... estrogen does it every time!)

11. I don't have anything right now .
I will be fine . Its health and emotional stress . No matter if I took the Xanax or anything - the problem would still be there . I have my own ways of coping : listening to music , writing and prayer .

12. Damn! Hives?
Poor thing! You really are suffering!

Have been having insomnia over the last week...probably holiday related. And I feel for you re: hives. Get them every few weeks due to some itty-bitty spider that lives here in central CA. Am terribly allergic to it. Have been using two teaspoons of liquid benedryl the last couple of times this has happened...really helps a lot and works quickly.

Hope you feel better quickly!

17. It's quarter after three here and I just woke up like that
this probably doesn't qualify as insomnia. Regardless, I'm gonna try to go to bed and just rest. Hopefullly I will drift back off.
I was dreaming in World of Warcraft and it got really close or somethingx(. I'll cuddle my doggy before I shuffle back to bed.
Good luck to the rest of you. I hope everybody is happily slumbering.
