got a good recipe for Barenyaeger (spelling) - honey liquor,

3 cup scotch
1 tsp rosemary

let sit for 3 days.
strain, then add one cup honey.

let ferment for three months, in dark place.

just thought i'd share that with you.

i'm series, I read in a book called Long Walk to Mulege by Howard Hale. I read the book a brazillion years ago but you don't easily forget fascinating facts like that!

31. It's a small town on the Baja peninsula

about two-thirds the way down on the Gulf of California side. Mulegé is written with one of those funny things on the second 'e' but I'm a computer neophyte and can't always make it appear on command. The book is true account of two UC Berkeley students who travel on foot from the US border to Mulegé in 1921 and well worth the read if you stumble upon a copy - especially if you want to know the entire story about oysters growing on trees.
