that is a wonderful gift. I remember a couple of years ago I visited my guest family in NC and my guest father got a car from his son. Both him and my guest mom needed a new car and they couln't afford two. So he got his car from his son and then they bought a new one for my guest mom. I thought that was a very cool gift.

32. I was borrowing a car of his, since mine didn't run.....

...and he called me up and said he wanted to get that car back...then he said he had one waiting for me. This was about 5 days before Christmas, but it was my x-mas gift. Anyway, I drove right over to their house, and picked it up. It's funny. I used to work for him, and left the family company about 3 years ago. We could never stand each other when I worked there. We could literally pass each other in the hallway, and not speak, for weeks on end. Now that I don't work for him anymore, we get along great...:shrug:

17. I am fine

even though my jaw is still hurting. Went to see a dentist and HNO doc and nobody could really help me. My teeth are ok and my ears also. On the 25th my aunt took me to the hospital. They made an x-ray, nada. Everything seems fine except my jaw still hurts a lot. Have a app with my dentist Tuesday. Will see from there. The painkillers they gave me (Iboprofen, Paracetamol, Novalgin) aren't really helping.

I hope you could still enjoy the time with your familiy. We are fine, not counting that I have the flu big time, my hips are inflamed and everything else hurts too... Had my friend over for the holidays, drank a lot of wine, played the guitar (she, not I) and sang until 5 a.m.... some very nice days. To-night we'll have to go and watch the horses, fireworks on all 4 sides. :brrrrr: Have lots of fun with your date!

A date for New Year's Eve is a rare and wonderful thing... I'm sure Grandma would understand. I hope you have a great time, but watch out for the amateur drunks out there on the roads.

Sorry to hear you're having dental/jaw problems. Have you ruled out if you grind/clench your teeth? That's where I tend to carry my stress, so I have to wear a "night guard" (a little plastic thing that fits over my upper teeth) to keep me from grinding my teeth out of my head when I sleep. Lately though I've been having more pain than usual there... probably just increased stress from this new pursuit of mine, but who knows. Glad you're getting it checked out by professionals instead of just suffering, like most of us have to do in the US when we have inexplicable pains.

Have missed you terribly and I'm looking forward to catching up. I've taken a lot of pictures since we last chatted, and I imagine you have too.

36. It is the first time

that I spend New Years Eve with a man. So yes, it is pecial for me.

The docs I saw so far couldn't help me. I went a day early to my grandma (wanted to leave Friday morning, left Thursday evening) so that I could see a dentist. She did and told me nothing wrong with my teeth might be that something is coming from the ears. After three attemps I found a doc who had open on the 23rd. But I had the feeling she didn't really care since I wasn't one of her patients. Just gave me a painkiller and that was it and told me to go see my doc when I am back iN Frankfurt. Great help. That is why I went to the hospital. They at least did a x-ray, even though they couldn't help either. The dentist told me it might be a long term process. Great. As far as I know I am not grinding my teeth. It is strange. No idea what it is but it has to be something in the jaw joint :shrug: I hope my dentist can help me or send me to an orthodontist.

I didn't take as many pics as I wanted to. It snowed a lot the last few days and I wanted to take winter pics but when I wanted to go the wind was blowing so strong I decided against it. I will have more chances I am sure.
