Any Rocket From The Tombs fans out there?
I saw them last night and they were amazing! I've always loved Peter Laughner's stuff (RIP). Anyway, they were incredible, and I never imagined I would see them here in Seattle.

Viva early '70s Cleveland rock!

2. I'm a Rocket from the Crypt fan
who got their name in homage to rocket from the tombs. RFTT just played in LA, but I didn't see them.

4. I'm a Rocket From the Crypt Fan too
A great band who has some great influences! I've always liked RFTC's use of horns in their songs, for some reason.

3. A friend in Portland wrote and said he saw them the other night.
He's an old Clevelandnite who knew Laughner. Said that RFT was great. Very impressesd (and pleased) that Cheetah had not learned any new licks since 1977.However, he didn't recognise Richard Lloyd until he was introduced. Said that the once-pretty, and still brilliant, Lloyd now resembles Clint Howard.

6. Yeah, he was in Television
He was amazing. He does look like Clint Howard, now that I think of it! (I can't help but think of Rock & Roll HS now...LOL)

Cheetah looked so great - he must work out or something, I swear, he had these washboard abs! Not what you would expect of a former Dead Boy, but they were all totally on, and they were so nice too. Dave Thomas shook our hand to thank us for coming out to see the band! Too funny.

Dave had this weird way of "conducting" the rest of the band while he wasn't singing, plus he's such a great stage presence. An amazing show, I must say.

Like I said, I just never, ever thought I'd ever see that band live, but so glad I did.

7. So many great Cleveland bands! Electric Eels, Mirrors, Saucers
et al.

Oh, Cleveland in 1974 - I'd go back in time if I could...
