trying not to get sick (no flu shots at my doctor's office; the doc said for the second year in a row, they never got them in. Thank you, *!?), but everywhere I go, people are coughing up a lung and not covering their mouths! Grr... Stay your asses at home if you're sick, people!

1. I've been fighting off something for a couple of weeks.

I don't know where I picked it up, but I've been borderline sick -- sore throat, mostly -- for awhile. I've been taking extra Vitamin C, giving myself massages with hot oil (it's an ayurvedic treatment), and going to lots of hot yoga class.... so far, it seems to be working, but I wish that I could knock out the sore throat! Well I guess I really haven't had a good rest yet because I've been running around like a madwoman. Maybe when I get some time off I'll manage to kick it. :)

6. Also, miso is very good.

It has lots of beneficial bacteria, plus, it's hot.

And there's this drink I make: organic lemon juice, local organic raw honey, hot water, and just a dash of rum. BITCHIN!

3. I'm getting over a cold

that started a week a go last Friday. It left me pretty weak. I'm finally able to do most things and I just have a short cough.

5. It's that time of the year.

Not much you can do. Maybe some people can't afford to stay home from work or don't have any more days left to take since it is the end of the year.

I have a bad habit of going out (socially) when I'm sick. I can never stay home. Think I'm going to miss something.
