Sometimes it don't pay to get out of bed! (Rant)
Actually it been a shitty couple of days, read on if you dare...

Wednesday morning my car died. Turned a corner and stalled. I had just dropped my MIL at work, so I was alone in the car. Had to push the car off of a VERY busy street. Luckily for me a couple of guys stopped and helped. I called my loving spouse (at work) to tell him and ask for advice.

Mr Wonderful was less than helpful. Asked me what did I expect him to do about it, I said something about what is the point in having a cell phone for emergencies, if he's unable or unwilling to help. Got hung up on. :grr:

Walked home in the snow, lucky for me it's only 4 blocks away. Hubby called a few minutes after I got there. Told me to wait a bit, and go back to the car and try starting it again. Trudged down to the car again...no start. Cranks, no start.

I go back home again. When hubby got home from work we walked down to 'try to start it' Much to my surprise (not!) it didn't start this time either.

We bow to the inevitable, and have the thing towed to a shop. Most of the day wasted by him being pissy on the phone.

Shop calls the next day. Timing chain broke, $600 for the repair. double :grr:...

Get the car back Friday. Got hit by some moron (moran) pulling out of his driveway. :banghead:

4. Yea, relax, light some candles... Sip some wine....
It all goes away in a few days anyway....

What seems like a crisis today is just another bump in the road a month away...

10. Hopefully...
...someday I'll laugh bitterly about this. Think I'll skip the vino, though. Gives me heartburn.

3. Oh wow. That'd be my luck....so sorry.
I'm so sorry. I've had a spate of car troubles too, so I totally understand what you're going through.

Is your car driveable after this guy hit you at least? I hope so.

6. It's drivable...
Neither of us was going very fast. My Passenger side door has a nice size dent in it. The window works and the door opens, no problem. His truck is basically undamaged (go figure).

11. Once I bumped a lady's car at a stoplight...
There was slush all over the ground, my car was just a jerk about stopping, I wasn't going very fast, we were on a downward incline, and I bumped her just slightly. She jumped out of her car and said "You're nuts if you think I'm just walking away from this!" She wiped the snow/rain/slush off her back bumper as I was getting out my insurance info--NO DAMAGE at all!

At that point she calmed down considerably, got back in her car and drove away. Meanwhile, I was so shaken up that I drove home and went to bed. Next day, look at my car, and MY car had chipped paint in the front and a small bit of damage.

Funny how those things work. Glad you can still drive it though. I hope this week goes better for you!

8. I don't envy you.
Sounds like you had a shitty shitty few days there. Let's hope this week will get better for you. I'm sending out some good vibes for you. I'd take the bubblebath advice too, if I was you. Just try to put it behind you and take some you time.
