That's the number that came up on the caller ID. Paul answered because I was in the tub getting ready for work. They asked to speak to me. Paul told them that I wasn't available and asked what the call was about. They told him that they were seeking donations for an unnamed "non-profit organization". Paul told them that with his heart surgery and having been off work for 2 months we were not in any position to make donations to any groups at this time.

They told Paul that they would need to speak to me.

I got out of the tub and came into the office and called the number and got the "this number has been disconnected" message.

Very odd.

Not sure how to do a reverse search. Only useful thing I came up with was a message board post from a woman who had the exact same thing happen.

All I get is this:

The phone number "[phone]" is a Denver, CO based phone number and the registered carrier is Qwest Corporation. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier.

That's OK, though. It just weirds me out.

Also known as phone rooms. I wouldn't worry about it. Legit charities do not cold call for donations.
