Now, is a small doorsill, like 1 inch or so, enough to keep it in that room? How long does it take to do an average room? Does it do under the bookshelves? I have hardwood floors and I'm totally thinking about getting one. What with the cats, two days go by and I look at the floors and think, "I need to vacuum."

I have carpet all over and two dogs who like to shed at least 365 days a year. I hate to vacuum and it takes just too damn long.

6. I have been looking at those

My house is all tile except for the bedrooms and I have 3 dogs, a cat, a kid and a hubby all of whom leave a mess on the light tile. How much area do they cover? My main living area is probably 1000 sq ft. I guess I could just set it to run in the kitchen and family room which are the messiest anyway.
