Saw Chronicles of Narnia midnight premiere last night

Liked it. very good.

Certainly not up to the level of LOTR but an enjoyable film none the less. Stays very true to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe novel. It's a clean bloodless family movie and does not get preachy with it's allegory, though I think there was a church youth group in my screening. No real great performances though Lucy is beyond adorable and steals many scenes. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver are the only obvious CGI animals the others look great, particularly Aslan and the wolves. So in short a perfect holiday movie for the family.

1. I'm taking my grandson on Sunday to see it.

He's 8 and has starting reading the books.

2. Was thinking of taking my six year old--it's okay then?

I'm DYING to see a movie, and since I can't see any of the films *I* want to see for some time, Narnia would give me my film fix.

Wasn't sure if it was alright for the kiddies.

3. yes it's fine

the young ones will really get into the talking animals. The "sacrifice" scene with Aslan isn't too intense either and won't upset them.
