My wife wasn't sure our son, recently turned four, was totally clear on the whole meaning of birthdays. She was right.

She explained to the kid that his birthday meant he was a year older and that he'd be four for an entire year. She showed him on the calendar the months in which he'd be four years old.

He then asked: "When can I be three?"

"Well," she said, "you'll never be three again. You only get to be three once."

His reply: "Awwww! But I liked three!"

She then explained that he'd be five on his next birthday and his face lit up: "I'm gonna be five? Really?"

"Yes, really," she said. He seemed pleased.

3. I was 3 until I turned 5

my twin brother decided to turn 4 but he took most of my toys so I decided to stay 3. It worked out pretty well, I got my toys back and didn't age. I had to turn 5 we got a kitten and a puppy. ( true story)
now we're 48 well he's 48 I'm 47.

2. I have 2 sisters...the older of the two was born Sept. 23

and the younger born Sept. 20...it seriously took the older one until she was about 8 to understand why she was older, even though she was born later in the month. :silly:

Kids are funny. :D
