Response on a personal ad and everything was looking good - until I asked if he wanted to meet first at a coffeehouse.

Since then I've heard several choruses of crickets chirping, in unison, the theme to "The Facts of Life" for some reason...

A bit of a pity... even moreso since my epiphany; realizing that the last 8 years of my life have been an utter joke. (not necessarily; I can think of worse things to have happened... but they seem less likely to happen now.)
