can you handle another "good thoughts/prayer" thread today?

So many people are hurting.

I'm asking for Mayra, Aunt Dean (her mother), and Danielle (Mayra's daughter). Mayra's just been diagnosed with "a very, very bad cancer." She had brain surgery yesterday and a lobe removed from one lung today. Danielle is ten years old and her daddy died last year. Aunt Dean is beside herself.

I hope/wish/pray Mayra pulls through OK. But, oh gods, poor Danielle! She must be hurting so so so badly. To lose one parent so young and to fear losing the other... there aren't words for that.

And poor Aunt Dean, too! There is nothing worse than the the thought of losing a child.

I wish your family the best through these difficult times........

I lost my mother at 11. Different circumstances but god, I know what that child is going through. I asked Mrs. V. (it's her family) if we could adopt her; she said "we'll have to stand in line."
