Poll question: How much Christmas shopping have you done?
Even though I despise anything Christmassy this early, I do realise that one has to get prepared in advance - so how much of that painful journey of Christmas shopping have you done. Obviously, if you don't keep Christmas (either in its Christian or it's commercialist capitalist form), but you do observe some other holiday at about the same time - then answer as to how much preparation for that you have done.

I managed to get as far as some Christmas cards earlier today, but have yet even to think about anything else.

1. When you don't have disposable income, shopping for Christmas is easy.
You don't. :)

2. I keep Christmas at bay until after my son's birthday.
No tree, no nothing until that's over.

3. More than half.
I bought a little here and there, and I'm pretty much done shopping for the kids and my aunt and uncle (we drew their names in the annual Christmas drawing).

I just need to get some picture frames for my parents and in-laws, some kind of exotic food item for my dad to try, and a little something for my husband (I can't say what it is - I never know when he might be reading here!).

4. I am not participating anymore.
Everyone I know has what they need/want and if they want something they can buy it. I refuse to support this needless tradition thats sole purpose is to keep the likes of Wal-mart and Target in business.
Also, as I am agnostic I would feel like a hypocrite celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Go ahead- consume to your hearts content. I will enjoy this quiet time to reflect on things........
