Drink my own brand of coffee - but mostly smoke cigs at my PC.

Vacations are nice - but I need a rest. Zzzzz

7. Yes, I met YOU!!
Edited on Fri Nov-21-03 01:24 AM by Booberdawg
While you were in LA too! Probably met a total of 50 DUers all told. Not to mention the site seeing. I'm pretty beat.

Yes - drinks at the Hermosa Beach party the week after the one you were at in Hollywood. Nothing fancy - just rum and cokes.

I'll put up the pics soon and let you know ..

:hi:

31. I have great pics of our Hollywood gathering
Just need to scan them and upload them. I've been so busy with work and writing/editing that I haven't had a chance yet. Some of them are very cute, and all are amusing. I even had the foresight (no pun intended...) to take off my glasses during most of the pictures.

Oh, you'll just have to wait and see them for yourself! I've got some cute ones of you, you little vixen you! :hi:

What a fun night we had. Gads, I love DU.

33. Oh no! I have a feeling I wasn't aware of them being taken!!
We should coordinate and put them in the same thread then. Let me know when you're ready. I still have to upload some off the camera and then to the webserver too. I haven't even unpacked yet. Or opened my mail. Maybe this weekend we can get together on it. I have the Emillereid's pics too from Hollywood and Hermosa Beach.

:hi:

5. Anbesol
is a mild anesthetic. It's usually used to ease the pain of a toothache/cavity/cut in the mouth. If your mouth is bleeding, well... if it's not bad, but you can still feel it, try Anbesol. It does wear off after a time, but it also does work.

6. Anbesol
is an over-the-counter toothache remedy. It contains Lidocaine or some kind of derivative with numbing properties. Safe for use on gums too. You can buy it at any drugstore or probably even grocery store.

:(
I'll say what happened, and please dont overreact, ok so I am waking up for school in the mornin and I feel like crap, my ass aches, my tummy aches, my head aches, and I am like Dad I dont think I am well enough for school today, he says you do this all the time and I am like No, and he continues to lie about me and shit, and I yell JERK, and my dad has an awful temper, hes a good guy and all but I like him have an explosive temper although I like to believe mine is better, so he hears this and he smacks me right on my chin. I was bleeding and my braces kinda got fucked up. Dont give me your pity people, I dont need it, I just cant believe he resorted to such a cheap shot. On edit: I was smacked with his bare hand in the mouth, I dont see where I implied I got hit with a belt if I did then oopsies.

12. You don't have to take that, John
I have an "awful temper" too but I never strike my kids. Your dad might need some anger management counseling. Honestly. It's not okay for him to belt you in the mouth.

17. Belt
is a euphemism for "hit" or "punch" (at least where I come from). Bare handed or no, it's still not okay. I'm sorry that happened to you. Put some ice on it and buy some Anbesol if it doesn't feel better tomorrow.

18. *sigh*
Well, it was just a term that came to my mind and I didn't consider whether it was open handed or closed handed. The apology from him after the abusive episode is part of a pattern as well.

The point was that you felt the need to apologize for being the target of his bad behavior. I just want to point out that you did that and it's not your fault that HE behaived badly.

23. For site seeing? Yes, a few.
I took the Old Town Trolley Tour - you see quite a lot with that and can get off anywhere during the tour (32 miles) and get back on the Trolley at different times of the day so you can make a whole day of it seeing different parts of Old Town.

I also went to the Zoo with my folks and we did the picture Safari. We drove around in a safari truck for 3 hours up close with the animals and I fed giraffes and hippos. Literally put food in their mouths and touched them. Giraffes are very docile - and have sticky slimy tounges. Bleach! Yuk! Made every hair stand up all over my body!

Also went to San Luis Capistrano on Tuesday - had a fancy lunch with another DUer. Beautiful place and town - saw the Mission there.

Then there were the DU parties on both the Friday's I was there. Those were both a lot of fun!

My uncle in Philadelphia has invited me to visit him - my wheels are turning - maybe after a rest ...... more DU parties?? :D

Thanks. I would definitely like to set up a DU party, too. Everyone who I've met has been so cool and fun.

I definitely think you should go to Philly, lots more great DUers out that way. Say, do you have any relatives who live near Chicago? :-)

for setting up another party. :D They are fun! I know of at least 3 other DUers in this area.

Also have a sis moving to Minneapolis next year - bro-in-law got a job with Lockheed Martin, so there is another possibility. :D

stolen bases is a baseball term, Jerry Rice plays football, and the NBA is basketball. So the answer is none.

28. Hi SO!!! My Boobie jumped all over me as I walked in the door!!!!
I was homesick for him - and heard he was depressed after I left and wouldn't move around or play for a couple days. *sniff* First time I've left him in 11 years.

And he has gained weight - looks like my mother fed him table food while I was gone. *taps foot* We need to start some walks.

I lost more weight while I was gone. Only a few days here and there that I wasn't running doing something. My britches are falling off!

:hi:

PS - cats are mad at me and ignoring me - I was expecting that. ;-)
